Nene Valley Festival 2018
Woodland wellbeing session – Tuesday 18th September 10.30-12 noon
A great opportunity to experience activities we run during woodland sessions, with the objective of benefitting wellbeing.
Feed your soul and your imagination, enjoying quality ‘me’ time in beautiful, tranquil surroundings of a 20 acre ancient woodland that’s not generally open to the public.
As a group we’ll explore some simple sensory activities to promote better connection with nature, cultivating relaxation and opening the mind to experience mindful moments in nature.
There’s scientific evidence that when spending time in nature it simultaneously calms and focuses the mind, bringing about a state of mind that transcends relaxation, allowing the brain to detect things it would otherwise miss. Spending time in nature, just ‘being’ can also be a very restorative antedote to mental fatigue.
“Reconnecting to nature opens new doors to health, creativity and wonder” Richard Louv
As part of the session there will be some tasty bite food prepared for you, inspired by nature and cooked by Susan from Outdoor Tribe and Sara from Hawkwell Herbs, introducing you to simple and fun culinary ideas for cooking outdoors.
Places for this 90 minute session are free. Book soon as ticket allocation is limited.
